The Challenge: Allow students a first-hand experience of alcohol’s effects on their driving skills.
The Tools: A classroom set of iPads, a couple of borrowed impairment goggles, Real Racing 3, a free app.
The Assignment: Shock high school students by telling them they can spend class time playing a driving game on their iPads. Allow the game to go on long enough so that students begin taking pride in their skills. Then, pull out the drunk goggles you’ve borrowed from the local police department.
The Result: Safer, smarter, more cautious teenage drivers.
